Pittsburgh Pirates chairman at UMW
The chairman of the board of the Pittsburgh Pirates will visit the University of Mary Washington next week as its executive-in-residence .
Robert Nutting will be at UMW’s Stafford campus next Wednesday and is making appearances at the Fredericksburg campus the following day, according to a UMW press release. He will meet with faculty and students and speak to regional business leaders during a community breakfast on Thursday.
In addition to his duties with the Pirates, Nutting is president and CEO of Ogden Newspapers Inc. in Wheeling, W.Va. and is president and CEO of Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Pennsylvania.
Nutting’s mother, Betty “Snookie” Woods Nutting, is a Mary Washington alumna and is on the UMW Foundation Board.
