UMW to name permanent president at its April 9 meeting
The University of Mary Washington’s board of visitors may name a permanent president at its meeting April 9. On Wednesday, the executive committee of the board of visitors named Rick Hurley acting president for the second time in three years.
Here’s what UMW recently sent out to employees regarding a new president:
“The Board of Visitors hopes to name a president of the University of Mary Washington and could act as early as its meeting on April 9, 2010. The Rector of the Board, Nanalou Sauder, thanks everyone in the Mary Washington community who has communicated with her by phone, letter, and email regarding the future needs of the University. Comments have been very thoughtful and remarkably similar. They provide a sense of community sentiment. If you have not already communicated with Rector Sauder or would like to express your opinion on the needs of the University, please send her an email before the end of March addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org.”
