County to offer workshop on working with contractors
Caroline County’s building official, commissioner of the revenue and the state’s Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation will host a workshop on the do’s and don’ts of contracting Thursday.
It will give citizens tips about how to not be taken advantage of by contractors, explain licensing requirements, insurance requirements, what it means to be licensed by the county and the state and where to call for references.
It will give general information about protections when dealing with contractors.
The workshop is free and is from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Caroline Community Services Center, off U.S. 301, just south of Bowling Green.
The Commissioner of the Revenue’s office is collecting school supplies to be donated to the county’s elementary schools.
