Two hired in Caroline County schools
Caroline County public schools announced two new hires to the school division’s central office:
- Kathleen Beane, who will be the director of curriculum and instruction for elementary education
- Daryl Chesley, who will be the director of curriculum and instruction for secondary education
Beane was most recently the superintendent of Colonial Beach schools, a role she was in for for two years. She has also served in the position of Director of Testing, Director of Technology, Director of Instruction, Director of Human Resources, and Principal for Colonial Beach Public schools. She has a Post- Master’s Degree and a Master’s Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Longwood University.
Chesley was most recently in Hanover County Public Schools where he served as Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Leadership for three years. He served as Director of Instruction for Fredericksburg City Schools for two years and a high school principal for five years. Chesley received his Doctorate in Educational Administration and Policies Studies from George Washington University, a Master’s from Old Dominion University, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Villanova University.
