Rusty Beaver Brewery plans expansion in Caroline County

The owners of Caroline County’s very own Rusty Beaver Brewery, in Ladysmith, are making plans for an expansion this summer.

On the brewery’s Facebook page, an announcement was posted:

Rusty Beaver Brewery received the county’s approval this morning to complete the construction of a brewery & tasting room on their 17 acre farm. The farm and Hopyard is located 6 miles west of 95 in Beaverdam, VA. The Ivey’s previously built a commercial kitchen facility on the farm so expect some food offerings and great craft beer pairings. Gardens of home grown veggies are being planted currently for the complete Farm to table experience just 30 miles from downtown RVA!

Look for further updates as our project moves forward to completion in early summer 2014! Cheers!

The brewery opened in a storefront in Ladysmith last year, but grows hops at its farm in Spotsylvania County.

Look for more details soon in The Free Lance-Star.

Nice but the place looks dirty inside and only one of the beers are drinkable. Personality goes a long way as well and they could use some.

“Rusty” conjures up botulism…. tasty. Clever names are hard to come by.

I enjoy both their stout and IPA. Good prices on growlers. Wish them the best of luck.
