Caroline’s Promise offers $500 scholarship

A graduating senior in Caroline County will have the chance to win a $500 scholarship from Caroline’s Promise.

The recipient will be someone who has made a difference in the Caroline community through community service efforts and fulfilling one of the five promises of the organization.

Here are the requirements:

  • Must live in Caroline County
  • Must be accepted into a college or institute of higher learning
  • Must have fulfilled one of the five promises through community service that benefited the local community. The five promises are:
    On-going relationships with caring adults

    Safe places with structured activities during non-school hours

    A healthy start and future

    Marketable skills through effective education

    Opportunities to give back through community service
  • Must complete the application and submit essays addressing the two application questions
  • Must submit at least one letter of recommendation from an individual who has knowledge of their community service efforts
  • Must submit application to Caroline’s Promise by April 14
