Supervisors to hold public hearing for hunting discussion
Tuesday night’s Board of Supervisors meeting will include a public hearing to discuss changing the county’s hunting policies.
Here’s a story from today’s paper that outlines the possible changes.
The public hearing will start at 7:30 p.m.
Here is the memo with information about the current county ordinance, the state law about hunting and further information the supervisors requested.
I requested information from the state’s Department of Game and Inland Fisheries about the number of incidents related to firearms. One of the arguments in favor of changing the law is that rifles are safer than shotguns. Here is the data DGIF sent me.
