School Board to discuss renovations tonight

The Caroline County School Board tonight will discuss the upcoming renovations to Madison Elementary and Caroline High School.

Last month, the board selected OWPR as the architect for the renovations.

Tonight, the board will see the contract between the school system and the architect for the first time.

The board will also appoint executive committees for each project. These two committees will make final recommendations to the superintendent and/or the architect.

Here’s the agenda for the meeting.  The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at Caroline Middle School, 13325 Devils Three Jump Rd.

The topic will come up again tomorrow (Tuesday) at a joint meeting between the School Board and the Board of Supervisors. That meeting begins at 5 p.m. at the Community Service Center, 17202 Richmond Turnpike.

The School Board will also have its organizational meeting tonight. At this meeting, the board will select a chairperson, vice-chairperson, school board clerk, deputy clerk and designee for the superintendent.
