Winter clothing, blankets sought

With the winter months soon approaching, Caroline’s Promise is preparing its annual ‘Keeping Children Warm’ program.

The initiative provides needed clothing items, blankets, hats and scarves donated by residents of Caroline County.

The organization asks “if you can knit, sew or crochet, please consider making children’s items for distribution.”

Yard, cotton fabric and batting, as well as money, can be donated as well.

The donations can be brought to 103 S. Main Street in Bowling Green and financial contributions can be sent to P.O. Box 1484, Bowling Green, Va 22427.

The 4-H Sewing Club of Promise has made this its community service project. Any teens interested in being involved in the club or learning to sew should contact Mrs. Jessie Rollins at 804-633-5521.
