Bowling Green Elementary celebrates ‘grand opening’
Though Bowling Green Elementary opened its doors for pre-k through fifth grade students back in September for the first day of school, county and school officials celebrated its “grand opening” with a ribbon cutting Friday.
Past and current School Board members, principals, administrators and members of the county’s Board of Supervisors and other county officials, as well as a state senator and delegate were in attendance for the ceremony.
The $10 million renovation allowed Bowling Green Primary and Bowling Green Elementary to combine to form one school.

Here’s a video of second and third graders in Ms. Baker and Mr. Baker’s classes singing at the ceremony.
