Caroline School Board to discuss governor’s school, bond referendum
The Caroline School Board will meet tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Caroline Middle School.
Here’s the agenda.
A few highlights:
- Architect Randy Jones will give an update about the proposed construction projects at Caroline High School and Madison Elementary School. These two projects depend on the passage of the school bond referendum that will be on the ballot Nov. 5. After his presentation, students from a student leadership team will speak.
- Discussion of a governor’s school for governmental and international studies (read more here)
- Update on accreditation, SOL scores and on-time graduation rates
The board also has two closed sessions:
a. Personnel –The discussion of appointments, resignations, stipends for teaching extra
classes, salary re-calculations, a title correction, a retirement date change, requests for
Family Medical leave, requests for leave without pay, substitutes list, and coaches
lists as authorized by Section 2.2-3711(A) (2) of the Code of Virginia, 1950 as amended.
