Caroline County officials cut the ribbon for the opening of the new playground at Bowling Green Elementary Saturday.
Parents school staff and others around the county had fundraisers and collected local donations to help fund it.
Here’s a link
to some of the events held to raise money for the playground. (There are some fun pictures of some familiar faces.)

When folks were fundraising for the playground, some people got creative. Supervisors Jeff Sili and Jeff Black were jailbirds for a day and had to raise bail, which they donated to the playground fundraiser. Together, they raised about $1,000. Above is a photo of the two supervisors in their jailbirds garb.
