The Caroline County Board of Supervisors meets Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Here are a few notable things on the agenda:
- Continued discussion of Caroline County possibly joining the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (read more here)
- A request to hire two additional social workers (read more here) and a request to improve security at the Department of Social Services (read more here)
- A request to prohibit panhandling, which is apparently a problem near the Carmel Church Interstate-95 exit (read more here) Caroline Sheriff Tony Lippa and Economic Development Director Gary Wilson are the frontrunners for this — Lippa has a concern for public safety and Wilson says pandhandling has a negative impact on the county attracting new businesses, according to the memo attached to the agenda.
- A request to amend the county’s hunting rules (read more here)
Here’s the full agenda. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Community Services Center, 17202 Richmond Turnpike in Milford.
