Caroline seeks robbery suspect

Caroline County authorities are investigating an armed robbery at the Flying J Travel Plaza.

According to Caroline Sheriff Tony Lippa, a Flying J employee was approached in the parking lot at approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

The man pointed a gun at the employee and said “give me the money,” Lippa said Thursday.

The man then reached into the employee’s jacket and took a bag of money that belonged to the store from her and then fled on foot, Lippa said.

The man is described as a black male between the ages of 25 and 30 and 5 foot 6 inches and six feet tall. He may weigh between 200 and 250 pounds.

Anyone with information about the robbery or a possible suspect is asked to call the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office at 804/633-5400.
