Tractor Trailer hauling trash overturns in Caroline
A portion of State Route 30 in Caroline County is closed due to a tractor trailer that overturned this morning.
According to Kelly Hannon of the Virginia Department of Transportation, a tractor trailer hauling trash overturned on eastbound State route 30 near the King William County line.
A portion of that road is closed in both directions while crews are unloading the contents of the trailer in order to uprightthe wreckage, she said.
Hannon anticipates that the road will remain closed until late this afternoon.
East and westbound traffic on Route 30 is being detoured onto Winston Loop then back to Route 30, she said. Flaggers will direct motorists through the detour.
Tractor trailers and large trucks are urged to use extreme caution when navigating the detour route, she said.
