Cash reward offered in Lake Land’Or cases
A $500 cash reward is being offered in relation to a rash of home break-ins inside the Lake Land’ Or community in Caroline County.
Since Dec. 2, there have been six reported break-ins inside the gated community in Ladysmith, said Maj. Scott Moser with the Caroline Sheriff’s office. All have had forced entry, he said.
According to a Lake Land’Or community bulletin, the break-ins occured on Glen Cove Drive, Ackerman Lane, Houston Drive, Devon Drive, Willow Court and on the Land’ Or side of Land’Or Drive.
The incidents have taken place in the afternoon to homes that are set back off of the street or that have non-deadbolted doors that are not visible from the roadway, the bulletin said.
Items stolen include jewelry and cash, the bulletin said.
During the summer, there had been a string of car break-ins in the same community, which are still unsolved.
The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office and the Lake Land’Or Property Owner’s Association security have stepped up patrols in that area and have been following leads.
A $500 cash reward is being offered to anyone that has information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office at 804/633-5400.
