Route 207 detour to begin on Thursday

ROUTE 207 DETOUR TO BEGIN ON THURSDAY
All traffic will be shifted to the eastbound bridge over the CSX Railroad in Caroline County
FREDERICKSBURG— As work progresses on the Route 207 Bridge Replacement Project all
traffic will be shifted to the eastbound bridge on Thursday, March 29. This traffic shift will
allow crews to continue work to replace the westbound structure.
Once the detour is in place, all traffic will travel on the eastbound Route 207 bridge with one
lane open in each direction. A concrete barrier will divide east and westbound traffic. The detour
will remain in place throughout the duration of the project.
Motorists are reminded that the speed limit has been reduced to 45 mph in the work zone.
The bridge replacement project is expected to be complete in May 2013.
