I-95 NORTH REMAINS PARTIALLY BLOCKED IN CAROLINE

Debris is being cleared from scene of overturned tractor-trailer crash at mile marker 101.7

FREDERICKSBURG – Two lanes of I-95 north remain closed at mile marker 101.7 in Caroline County for an overturned tractor-trailer, just south of Exit 104 at Carmel Church.

One northbound travel lane, the left lane, has re-opened.

At approximately 12:34 p.m, a tractor-trailer spilled its contents across all northbound travel lanes of I-95 and one northbound shoulder.

Congestion begins 4 miles prior to the incident scene. Motorists should expect delays while the debris is removed, and should use alternate routes if possible, including Route 1 north.

Motorists can find real-time information on congestion, traffic conditions and lane closures on VDOT’s 24-hour travel information website, www.511Virginia.org. Motorists can also access 511Virginia by calling 511 from any telephone in Virginia.
