Earn Membership in the National Honor Society
Nine outstanding Army JROTC cadets were inducted into the prestigious National Honor Society (NHS) during a ceremony November 30th. Membership in the NHS is earned by the student based on their scholarship, service, leadership and character. Cadets inducted were: Alantra Coleman, Ashley Collins, Andrea Gray, Asya Jones, Zaw Nai, Brandon Overton, Ralph Tomas, Francisca Umana, and Andrew Woolfolk. The cadets received their NHS certificates, NHS ribbon, and distinctive NHS gold shoulder cords.
LTC(R) Bob Pyner, the cadet’s Senior Army Instructor, remarked, “I am continually amazed at the caliber of young person who fill the ranks of the corps; they stand-out in every aspect of their school environment. They are in a word, outstanding young people.” With the induction of the new members, NHS cadets comprise 13% of the corps-of-cadets.
