- On July 18, 2011, Sergeant C.A. Heywood encountered Charles D. Chapman, 59, of Ruther Glen. Upon further investigation, he was charged with being drunk in public and for obstruction of justice. He was held on a $2,500 unsecured bond and had a July 19, 2011 court date.
- On July 18, 2011, Deputy J.K. Miller responded to a call in Bowling Green area. Upon further investigation, Thomas J. Kelly, V, 31, of Bowling Green, was charged with abduction. He was held without bond and had a July 19, 2011 court date.
- On July 18, 2011, Sergeant C.A. Heywood responded to a suspicious person call in the Ruther Glen area. Upon further investigation, Brain A. Donohue, 20, of Ruther Glen, was charged with being drunk in public. He was held on an unsecured bond had a July 20, 2011 court date.
- On July 22, 2011, Investigator M.M. Ellett responded to a call in the Woodford area. Upon further investigation, Joey A. Finney, Sr., 50, of Woodford, was charged with malicious wounding. He was held without bond and had a July 25, 2011 court date.
Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up
According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 8 drug arrests, 1 DUI arrest, 9 domestic violence arrests, 85 other criminal arrests and issued 15 animal control summons or arrests during the past week. The deputies served 214 civil papers, issued 175 traffic summonses, handled 7 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 22 alarm calls, and dealt with 0 juvenile offenders. The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 588 calls for service and handled 1703 telephone inquiries. The CCSO also logged 43 calls assisting outside agencies and had 370 self-initiated calls.
