Caroline opens cooling center

Caroline County Community Services Center to serve as a Cooling Center
DUE TO THE EXTREME HOT WEATHER THROUGHOUT THE REGION
The Caroline County Community Service Center Auditorium will remain open for use as a cooling center on Friday (22nd) and Saturday (23rd) until 8 PM each evening. The Community Services Center is located at 17202 Richmond Turnpike. For directions contact the Department of Fire and Rescue at (804) 633-9831.
The Auditorium will be available from noon to 8:00 PM each day.
This is not a shelter. Air conditioning and drinking water are provided, but no food will be available and pets (excluding service animals) are not allowed.
Additionally, the Caroline County Library branches in Bowling Green and Ladysmith will be open today until 6:00 PM and tomorrow from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. They welcome the public to cool off with a good book.
