Sheriff’s report

  • On June 10, 2011, Deputy B.J. Sadler conducted a routine traffic stop.  Upon further investigation, Kevin J. Taft, 20, of Ruther Glen, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, and driving suspended.  He was held on a secured bond and has a pending court date.
  • On June 13, 2011, Deputy F.L. Brennan encountered Kevin J. Graves, 19, of Fredericksburg.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of marijuana, and an expired inspection.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond and has a June 22, 2011 court date.
  • On June 14, 2011, Deputy R. D. Cable, Jr., responded to a suspicious vehicle call in the Bowling Green area.  Upon further investigation, Joseph S. Stephens, Jr., 18, of Bowling Green, was charged with driving under the influence and underage possession of alcohol.  He was held on a $2,000 unsecured bond and has a pending court date.
  • On June 14, 2011, Investigator M.M. Ellett, following up on an investigation that began in January, charged DeAngelo D. Myers, 22, of Ruther Glen, with two counts of distribution of cocaine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  He was held without bond and has a June 15, 2011 court date.
  • On June 16, 2011, Deputy J.K. Miller responded to a vehicle accident in the Milford area.  Upon further investigation, Christopher W. Powers, 27, of Milford, was charged with driving under the influence – third in ten years, reckless driving, and refusal to submit test.  He was held without bond has a July 20, 2011 court date.
  • On June, 16, 2011, Deputy C.M. Hall encountered Donald L. Clarke, 48, of Montpeiler.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with assault and battery.  He was held on a $1,000 secured bond and has a June 24, 2011 court date.
  • On June 15, 2011, Sergeant C.A. Heywood encountered Richard F. Minor, 58, of Bowling Green.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with being drunk in public.  He was held on an unsecure bond and has a July 27, 2011 court date.
  • On June 16, 2011, Deputy S.M. Jessee, following up on an investigation that began in May, charged Robert E. Patrick, 65, and Deborah M. Patrick, 59, both of Woodford, with attempted fraud.  Robert Patrick was also charged with filing a false police report.  Both were held without bond and have a pending court date.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 13 drug arrests, 3 DUI arrests, 5 domestic violence arrests, 79 other criminal arrests and issued 26 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 227 civil papers, issued 164 traffic summonses, handled 10 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 21 alarm calls, and dealt with 4 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 528 calls for service and handled 1,530 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 37 calls assisting outside agencies and had 347 self-initiated calls.

  • On June 07, 2011, Deputy F.L. Brennan responded to a call in the Ruther Glen area.  Upon further investigation, Maritta A. Ellis, 26, and Desheria D. Lee, 23, both of Ruther Glen, were charged with assault.  Both women were released on personal recognizance bonds and have June court dates.
  • On June 09, 2011, Deputy R.L. Hixson conducted a routine traffic stop.  Upon further investigation, Samuel L. Anderson, 48, of Ruther Glen, was charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit test, and being a habitual offender-felony.  He was held without bond and has a June 10, 2011 court date.
  • On June 10, 2011, Deputy J.O. Cecil conducted a routine traffic stop.  Upon further investigation, Zackrey E. Waller, 22, of Woodford, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, illegal possession of a firearm, and possession of synthetic cannabinoids.  He was held without bond and has a June 10, 2011 court date.
  • On June 10, 2011, Deputy C.M. Hall responded to a disturbance call.  Upon further investigation, a male juvenile was charged with assault and battery.
  • On June 11, 2011, Deputy J.K. Miller encountered Clarence Williams, 71, of Takoma Park, MD.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with being drunk in public.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond has a July 15, 2011 court date.
  • On June, 11, 2011, Deputy J.K. Miller responded to a call in the Bowling Green area.  Upon further investigation, Tyrone G. Childs, 48, of Bowling Green, was charged with unlawful entry and possession of marijuana.  He was held on a $1,500 secured bond and has a June 13, 2011 court date.
  • On June 12, 2011, Deputy S.L. Chapman responded to a fight in the Bowling Green area.  Upon further investigation, William T. Richardson, 33, of Bowling Green, was charges with being drunk in public and obstruction of justice.  He was held on a $1,000 secured bond and has a June 13, 2011 court date.
  • On June 12, 2011, Deputy R.J. Anderson encountered Travis L. Hudson, 36, of Bowling Green.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with being drunk in public.  He was released on a summons and has a September 23, 2011 court date.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 17 drug arrests, 2 DUI arrests, 8 domestic violence arrests, 108 other criminal arrests and issued 12 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 138 civil papers, issued 111 traffic summonses, handled 17 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 51 alarm calls, and dealt with 6 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 523 calls for service and handled 1,934 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 36 calls assisting outside agencies and had 418 self-initiated calls.

  • On June 02, 2011, Sergeant C.A. Heywood encountered Tyrone G. Childs, 48, of Bowling Green.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with being drunk in public.  He was held on an unsecured bond and has a July 27, 2011 court date.
  • On May 29, 2011, Deputy J.K. Miller conducted a routine traffic stop.  Upon further investigation, Kevin E. Anderson Jr., 28, of Glen Allen, was charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit test, and assault on a law officer.  He was held on a $3,500 secured bond and has a May 31, 2011 court date.
  • On May 29, 2011, Investigator B.L. Fedder responded to a call in the Woodford area.  Upon further investigation, Reginald J. Richardson, 41, of Fredericksburg and Shane A. Nerschl, 38, of Woodford, were both charged with aggravated malicious wounding.  Both men were held without bond and have a June 8, 2011 court date.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 9 drug arrests, 1 DUI arrests, 4 domestic violence arrests, 64 other criminal arrests and issued 12 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 200 civil papers, issued 132 traffic summonses, handled 9 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 23 alarm calls, and dealt with 4 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 540 calls for service and handled 1,983 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 40 calls assisting outside agencies and had 337 self-initiated calls.
