Sheriff’s report

  • On March 30, 2011, Deputy W.A. Greene responded to the Bowling Green area for a motor vehicle accident.  Upon further investigation, Zelma L. Lewin, 72, of Leonardtown, MD was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and reckless driving.  She was held without bond and has an April 1, 2011 court date.
  • On April 03, 2011, Sgt. C.A. Heywood encountered Corey R. Tillman, 42, of Ruther Glen. Upon further investigation, he was charged with trespassing.  He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and has an April 13, 2011 court date.
  • On April 03, 2011, Deputy J.K. Miller conducted a routine traffic stop.  Upon further investigation, Bobby W. Stanley, 29, of Beaverdam, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding and driving suspended – 3rdoffense.    He was held on a $750 secured bond and has an April 13, 2011 court date.
  • On April 01, 2011, Deputy W.D. Lipscomb conducted a routine traffic stop.   Upon further investigation, Tania G. Williams, 31, of Bowling Green, was charged with driving under the influence-2nd offense and resisting arrest.  She was held on without bond and has an April 08, 2011 court date.
  • On April 08, 2011, Deputy C.J. Ryan responded to a call for service in the Woodford area.  Upon further investigation, Joseph E. Weadon, 32, of Spotsylvania, was charged with grand larceny and trespassing.    He was held without bond and has an April 11, 2011 court date.
  • On April 08, 2011, Deputy C.J. Ryan responded to a motor vehicle accident.    Upon further investigation, Cecil E. Raines, 29, of Fredericksburg, was charged with driving under the influence.  She was released on a personal recognizance bond and has an April 18, 2011 court date.
  • On April 08, 2011, Sgt. C.A. Heywood conducted a routine traffic stop.  Upon further investigation, Garnett O. Stanley, 54, of Montross, was charged with driving under the influence-2nd offense, habitual offender-2nd offense, possession of marijuana-4th offense and drinking while driving.  He was held on a $2,500 secured bond and has an April 20, 2011 court date.
  • On April 08, 2011, Deputy S.L. Chapman encountered Anthony L. Monroe, 25, of Fredericksburg and Jelonny Ross, 28, of Bowling Green.  Upon further investigation, both men were charged with being drunk in public.  Both men were released on a personal recognizance bond has a June 3, 2011 court date.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 10 drug arrests, 4 DUI arrests, 3 domestic violence arrests, 77 other criminal arrests and issued 9 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 184 civil papers, issued 150 traffic summonses, handled 17 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 25 alarm calls, and dealt with 1 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 600 calls for service and handled 1,688 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 28 calls assisting outside agencies and had 428 self-initiated calls.

  • On April 10, 2011, Deputy R.L. Hixson conducted a routine traffic stop. Upon further investigation, Joel Oceguera, 18, of Colonial Beach, VA was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of Marijuana.  He was held on a $1,500 unsecured bond and has an April 27, 2011 court date.
  • On April 11, 2011, Sgt. C.A. Heywood encountered Charles D. Chapman, 58, of Ruther Glen. Upon further investigation, he was charged with drunk in public and resisting arrest.  He was held on a $1,500 secured bond and has an April 20, 2011 court date.
  • On April 12, 2011, Sgt. C.A. Heywood responded to a trespassing call.   Upon further investigation, Cecelia M. Garnett, 45, of Rappahannock Academy, was charged with unlawful wounding.  She was held on a $1,000 secured bond and has an April 18, 2011 court date.
  • On April 12, 2011, Deputy W.D. Lipscomb conducted a routine traffic stop.  Upon further investigation, Travis L. Dukes, 24, of Pikesville, MD, was charged with driving under the influence and driving revoked.  Dukes was also wanted for a felony probation violation in King & Queen County.   He was held without bond and has an April 13, 2011 court date.
  • On April 15, 2011, Sgt. C.A. Heywood responded to a call in the Woodford area.    Upon further investigation, Garnett R. Davis, 67, of Woodford, was charged with malicious wounding.  He was held without bond and has an April 18, 2011 court date.
  • On April 16, 2011, Sgt. C.A. Heywood conducted a routine traffic stop.  Upon further investigation, a 17 year old male juvenile, of Ruther Glen, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, refusal to submit to test and illegal possession of a concealed weapon.  A passenger in the vehicle, Christopher S. Anderson, 18, of Woodford, was charged with being drunk in public.  Anderson was held on an unsecured bond with a May 25, 2011 court date.  The male juvenile was release to his parents.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 8 drug arrests, 5 DUI arrests, 2 domestic violence arrests, 62 other criminal arrests and issued 1 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 210 civil papers, issued 125 traffic summonses, handled 4 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 17 alarm calls, and dealt with 6 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 539 calls for service and handled 1,692 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 24 calls assisting outside agencies and had 421 self-initiated calls.

Other jurisdictions:

Kevin Daniel Kelley, Ruther Glen, was recently indicted in Stafford County for conspiracy, attempted grand larceny, possession of illegal drugs, destruction of property and trespassing.
