Accused Man Wanted in Carjacking/Robbery Case

On December 16, 2010, at the intersection of Ruther Glen Road and Signboard Road,
4 males forced the victim off of the highway and robbed him with the threat of use of a firearm. The victim was physically assaulted and personal items were taken from the victim.
Three of the men, including Travon T. Thomas of Doswell, Trey M. Morgan of Henrico, and a juvenile, are currently in custody.
The fourth man, Delando Jabrill Tillman (also known as “DJ”), 20, of Richmond, Virginia was the alleged driver of the suspect vehicle. Tillman has warrants on file with the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office and should be considered armed and dangerous. Tillman is also currently wanted in Henrico County and Hanover County on unrelated charges.

Sheriff’s report

  • On March 21, 2011, Deputy R.J. Anderson responded to a reported fight.  Upon further investigation, a 15 year old male juvenile had petitions obtained against him for assault and disorderly conduct.  The juvenile has a pending court date.
  • On March 21, 2011, Deputy B.J. Sadler encountered Aaron E. Gray, 23, of Milford. Upon further investigation, he was charged with driving under the influence and driving DUI while suspended.  He was held on a secured bond and has an April 01, 2011 court date.
  • On March 23, 2011, Deputy R.L. Hixson conducted a routine traffic stop.  Upon further investigation, Jermaine M. Childs, 30, of Richmond, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of marijuana, petit larceny, and carnal knowledge of a child.    He was held without bond and has a March 25, 2011 court date.  A passenger in the vehicle, Jasmine N. Stamper, 28, of Richmond, was charged with possession of marijuana.  She was released on a summons and has an April 13, 2011 court date.
  • On March 23, 2011, Sgt. C.A. Heywood responded to a disturbance call.  Upon further investigation, Christopher J. Hunter, 29, of Bowling Green, was charged with domestic assault, two counts of destruction of property, and preventing the summoning of law enforcement.  He was held on a $3,000 secured bond and has an April 11, 2011 court date.
  • On March 24, 2011, Sgt. C.A. Heywood encountered Roscoe W. Rousey, 52, of Ruther Glen.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with drinking alcohol after interdiction.  He was held on a $1,000 unsecured bond and has an April 06, 2011 court date.
  • On March 24, 2011, Sgt. C.A. Heywood encountered Carl J. Freeman, 45, of Ruther Glen.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with being drunk in public.  He was held on an unsecured bond and has an April 20, 2011 court date.
  • On March 26, 2011, Deputy B.J. Sadler responded to a disturbance call in the Ruther Glen area.  Upon further investigation, William T. Simmons, 60, of Warsaw, VA, was charged with trespassing.  He was held without bond and has an April 01, 2011 court date.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 10 drug arrests, 2 DUI arrests, 2 domestic violence arrests, 92 other criminal arrests and issued 4 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 193 civil papers, issued 117 traffic summonses, handled 11 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 15 alarm calls, and dealt with 4 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 493 calls for service and handled 1,677 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 19 calls assisting outside agencies and had 394 self-initiated calls.
