Police identify the second body found in Woodford
The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man found dead on Feb. 17 in Woodford .
George William Godfrey, 57, was found dead, along with his girlfriend Dena Woolfolk, 47, around 10:15 a.m. that day at a home at 14110 Fredericksburg Turnpike.
Sheriff Tony Lippa said dispatchers received a 911 hang-up call around 10:15 that morning.
When police arrived around 10:20 a.m., they found the bodies of two people, who police said were in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. An elderly woman who owned the home was also there.
The bodies were sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond to determine a cause of death, he said. Those results have not been completed yet.
There did not appear to be any trauma to the bodies, police said, and no foul play is suspected.
The case is still under investigation
