Police investigating deaths of Woodford couple
The Caroline County Sheriff’s office is investigating the deaths of a couple.
Around 10:15 a.m. Thursday morning, dispatchers received a 911 hang-up call from a home in Woodford.
When police arrived around 10:20 a.m., they found two bodies, one of a 58-year-old man and one of a 47-year old woman, who police said were in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. An elderly woman who owned the home was also there.
The female victim has been identified as Dena Woolfolk. The male’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin, which are in Louisiana, said Sheriff Tony Lippa.
The bodies were sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond to determine a cause of death, he said.
There did not appear to be any trauma to the bodies, police said, and no foul play is suspected.
The case is under investigation.
