Week Ending December 18, 2010

  • On December 13, 2010, Deputy W.A. Green responded to a motor vehicle crash in the Ruther Glen area.  Upon further investigation, Ronald L. Williams, 46, of Hanover, was charged with felonious hit and run, unauthorized use of a vehicle, driving revoked, and providing false statements to law enforcement. He was held without bond and a December 17, 2010 court date was set.
  • On December 14, 2010, Sgt. C.A. Rozell stopped Robert K. Brown, Jr., 19, of Ruther Glen, for a traffic violation.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with driving while intoxicated and underage possession of alcohol.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond and has a January 05, 2011 court date.
  • On December 14, 2010, Deputy R.J. Anderson responded to a disturbance call at the Caroline Diversified Learning Center. Upon further investigation, a 17 year old male student was charged with disorderly conduct.  He has a pending court date.
  • On December 17, 2010, Deputy W.A. Green encountered a 17 year old male while attempting to serve a warrant.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with obstruction of justice and possession of a controlled substance.  He was released to a parent and has a pending court date.
  • On December 17, 2010, Deputy C.S. Wooldridge responded to a disturbance call in the Ruther Glen area.  Upon further investigation, James E. Johnson, Jr., 47, of Ruther Glen, was charged with assault. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and has a January 15, 2011 court date.
  • On December 18, 2010, Deputy W.A. Green and Deputy K.H. Eichenmiller encountered Eddie R. Coleman, 29, of Milford, while attempting to serve a warrant.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, obstruction of justice, and damaging property.  He was held on a $5,000 secured bond and has a pending court date.
  • On December 18, 2010, Deputy B.N. Doucet responded to a vehicle accident in the Ruther Glen area.  Upon further investigation, Michael A. Wood, 43, of Mechanicsville, was charged with driving while intoxicated.  He was held without bond and has a December 20, 2010 court date.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 4 drug arrest, 3 DUI arrests, 2 domestic violence arrests, 83 other criminal arrests and issued 5 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 190 civil papers, issued 175 traffic summonses, handled 38 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 19 alarm calls, and dealt with 5 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 511 calls for service and handled 1,721 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 14 calls assisting outside agencies and had 351 self-initiated calls.

Week Ending December 11, 2010

  • On December 04, 2010, Deputy W.A. Green responded to the Bowling Green area for a report of a fight in progress.  Upon further investigation, Christopher J. Hunter, 28, of Bowling Green, was charged with being drunk in public. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a January 19, 2011 court date was set.
  • On December 05, 2010, Deputy B.N. Doucet stopped Michael E. Novitski;Sr., 48, of Ruther Glen, for a traffic violation.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked-DWI related.  He was held without bond and has a December 06, 2010 court date.
  • On December 07, 2010, Deputy C.J. Ryan responded to the Woodford area for a vehicle accident. Upon further investigation, Ronald D. Coleman, 47, of Alexandria, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and driving while revoked.  He was held without bond and has a January 21, 2011 court date.
  • On December 08, 2010, Deputy R.L. Hixson stopped Murphy C. Fountain;II, 48, of Ruther Glen, for a traffic infraction. Upon further investigation, he was charged with driving while intoxicated.  He was held on a $1,000 secured bond and a December 15, 2010 court date was set.
  • On December 09, 2010, Deputy R.L. Hixson encountered Walker Lomax, 56, of Woodford.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with possession of cocaine. He was held without bond and has a December 10, 2011 court date.
  • On December 11, 2010, Deputy S.L. Chapman responded to the Ruther Glen area for a report of a stolen vehicle.  Upon further investigation, Ray T. Harris;Jr., 21, of Ruther Glen, was charged with two counts of making a false report to law enforcement.  He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond and has a December 17, 2010 court date.
  • On December 11, 2010, Deputy S.L. Chapman responded to the Bowling Green area for a disturbance report.  Upon further investigation, Sharen A. McBee, 47, of Bowling Green, was charged with vandalism, trespassing, and being drunk in public.  She was held on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond and has a pending court date.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 3 drug arrest, 4 DUI arrests, 1 domestic violence arrests, 69 other criminal arrests and issued 30 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 158 civil papers, issued 201 traffic summonses, handled 9 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 19 alarm calls, and dealt with 6 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 556 calls for service and handled 1,775 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 29 calls assisting outside agencies and had 428 self-initiated calls.

Week Ending December 04, 2010

  • On November 25, 2010, Deputy C.S. Wooldridge responded to the Bowling Green area for a report of a suspicious person.  Upon further investigation, Walter B. Price, 47, of Richmond, was charged with being drunk in public. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a December 17, 2010 court date was set.
  • On November 28, 2010, Deputy J.K. Miller encountered Adam T. Jackson, 25, of Bowling Green, at a DUI checkpoint.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with possession of marijuana, driving under the influence of drugs, and a concealed weapons permit violation.  He was held on a $3,000 secured bond and has a November 30, 2010 court date.
  • On November 29, 2010, Deputy C.S. Wooldridge stopped James E. Stewart, 35, of Fredericksburg, for a routine traffic infraction.  Upon further investigation, he was charged with driving under the influence of drugs.  His passenger, Jamie L. Stewart, 25, of Fredericksburg, was charged with possession of a Schedule II narcotic.   Both were held on secured bonds and have a December 17, 2010 court date.
  • On November 30, 2010, Deputy C.M. Hall observed the smell of cigarette smoke in an area of the Caroline County Middle School.  Upon further investigation, a petition was issued for a female juvenile for having a weapon at school and for underage possession of tobacco.
  • On December 02, 2010, Sgt. C.A. Heywood responded to the Milford area for a report of a disorderly person.  Upon further investigation, Christina R. Lloyd, 44, of Milford, was charged with being drunk in public. She was released on a personal recognizance bond and has a January 26, 2011 court date.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 3 drug arrest, 1 DUI arrests, 3 domestic violence arrests, 71 other criminal arrests and issued 12 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 192 civil papers, issued 220 traffic summonses, handled 7 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 17 alarm calls, and dealt with 2 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 680 calls for service and handled 820 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 28 calls assisting outside agencies and had 340 self-initiated calls.
