Election day is approaching
Caroline County will have a special election to fill in the Reedy Church District seat on the School Board. The seat was left vacant in November when Fred Peatross resigned for health reasons. Valerie Fells was appointed to fill the position until next week’s election.
So far, the only write-in candidates I know of are Valerie Fells, Jamey Lewchanin and Reggie Underwood.
A life-long Dawn resident, Fells held the seat for 15 years before Peatross , but did not seek re-election in 2007.
Lewchanin is a resident of Caroline Pines where he serves as the subdivision’s property owners association president.
Underwood is a former Caroline County teacher, coach and administrator.
