Sheriff’s report

On September 13, 2010, Sgt. C.A. Heywood encountered Edward O. Flahive, 55, of Chesterfield during a routine traffic stop. Upon further investigation, he was charged with driving under the influence-2nd in five years, drinking while driving, and failing to drive on the right side of the highway. He was held on a $1000 secured bond with a September 22, 2010 court date.

• On September 13, 2010, Sgt. C.A. Heywood encountered Chauncey E. Ducre, 30, of Richmond during a routine traffic stop. Upon further investigation, he was charged with driving revoked-4th offense. He was held without bond with a September 15, 2010 court date.

• On September 14, 2010, Deputy S.L. Chapman encountered Carolyn Y. Pollard, 46, of Bowling Green. Upon further investigation, she was charged with driving revoked-habitual offender and for resisting arrest. She was held without bond with a September 15, 2010 court date.

• On September 14, 2010, Deputy W.D. Lipscomb stopped John Castagna, Jr., 58, of Ruther Glen, for a traffic infraction. Upon further investigation, he was charged with driving under the influence. He was released on a $2500 personal recognizance bond with a November 23, 2010 court date.

• On September 15, 2010, Deputy S.M. Jessee encountered Harry N. Bastow, 29, of Callao and a 17 year old female juvenile of Tappahannock. Upon further investigation, Bastow was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The minor was charged with underage possession of alcohol. Both were released on summonses with an October 01, 2010 court date.

• On September 16, 2010, Deputy B.N. Doucet responded to a call for service in the Ruther Glen area. Upon further investigation, Keith T. Sanders, 31, of Smithfield, NC, was charged with possession of Marijuana. He was released on a $3500 personal recognizance bond with a September 24, 2010 court date.

• On September 16, 2010, Deputy J.O. Cecil encountered Eternity S. Anderson, 18, of Ruther Glen and Travon T. Thomas, 23, of Doswell during a traffic stop. Upon further investigation, Anderson was charged with eluding police. She was released on summonses with a November 10, 2010 court date. Thomas was charged with possession of SCH I,II w/intent to sell and littering. He was held without bond with a September 17, 2010 court date.

• On September 17, 2010, Deputy J.K. Miller stopped Christopher S. Gibson, 39, of Bowling Green for a traffic infraction. Upon further investigation, he was charged with driving under the influence- BAC>.20%. He was held on a$1,500 secured bond and a September 22, 2010 court date was

set.

• On September 17, 2010, Deputy M.J. O’Connor responded to a domestic call in the Ruther Glen area. Upon further investigation, Bruce M. Fortune, 47, of Milford, was charged with domestic assault. He was released on personal recognizance bond and a September 21, 2010 court date was set.

• On September 18, 2010, Sgt. C.A. Heywood encountered Jermaine, J. Washington, 29, of Ruther Glen. Upon further investigation, he was charged with a concealed weapons violation. He was released on a summons with a October 06, 2010 court date.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made1 robbery arrest, 1 assault arrest, 7 larceny arrests, 4 drug arrests, 3 DUI arrests, 11 domestic violence arrests, 70 other criminal arrests and issued 51 animal control summons or arrests during the past week. The deputies served 252 civil papers, issued 155 traffic summonses, handled 4 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 11 alarm calls, and dealt with 4 juvenile offenders. The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 480 calls for service and handled 1,592 telephone inquiries. The CCSO also logged 23 calls assisting outside agencies and had 366 self-initiated calls.

From recent Fredericksburg police reports:

Christina Lewis-Graves, 19, of Woodford was arrested for shoplifting from Plato’s Closet.

Joshua Baker, 21, of Ruther Glen was arrested on a warrant from Caroline County for assault.
