On August 22, 2010 Deputy W.D. Lipscomb was on patrol when he encountered Donta C. Smith, 19, of King George, VA. Upon investigating, he was charged with possession of marijuana. He was released on a summons with a November 17, 2010 court date.
On August 22, 2010 Deputy S.L. Chapman responded to the Woodford area for a disturbance call. Upon further investigation Anthony D. Martin, 28, of Woodford was charged with being drunk in public. He was released on a personal recognizance bond with a September 24, 2010 court date.
On August 24, 2010 Deputy W.A. Green responded to a shoplifting complaint in the Bowling Green area. Upon further investigation Geraldine D. Chandler, 55, of Doswell, VA was charged with shoplifting and obstruction of justice. She was held on a $1500 unsecured bond with a September 03, 2010 court date.
On August 25, 2010 Sgt. C.A. Heywood encountered Michael D. Bobrosky, 54, of Woodford. Upon further investigation he was charged with being drunk in public, reckless driving, and riding a bicycle on the wrong side of the highway. He was released on a personal recognizance bond with an October 08, 2010 court date.
On August 26, 2010 Deputy A.E. Smith responded to the Bowling Green area for a possible larceny call. Upon further investigation William A. Burkins, 31, of Bowling Green was charged with shoplifting. He was released on a summons with a September 8, 2010 court date.
On August 27, 2010 Deputy M.J. O’Connor responded to the Ruther Glen area for a stolen vehicle call. Upon further investigation Ronald D. Large, 39, of Woodford was charged with grand larceny. He was held on a $1500 secured bond with an August 27, 2010 court date.
On August 27, 2010 Deputy W.D. Lipscomb encountered Henry L. Shepard, Jr., 51, of Bowling Green during a routine traffic stop. Upon further investigation he was charged with driving with a revoked license: habitual offender, 2+ offences. He was held on a $5000 bond with a November 11, 2010 court date.
On August 28, 2010 Deputy W.M. Jones responded to a call in the Moores Mill Rd area. Upon further investigation Roscoe W. Rousey, 51, of Ruther Glen was charged with being drunk in public and intentional damage to County property. He was held on a $1000 unsecured bond with a September 08, 2010 court date.
Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up
According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 4 drug arrests, 0 DUI arrests, 7 domestic violence arrests, 83 other criminal arrests and issued 5 animal control summons or arrests during the past week. The deputies served 268 civil papers, issued 255 traffic summonses, handled 18 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 12 alarm calls, and dealt with 6 juvenile offenders. The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 609 calls for service and handled 1,946 telephone inquiries. The CCSO also logged 40 calls assisting outside agencies and had 291 self-initiated calls (calls initiated by a deputy).
