Caroline Gov. has a Facebook page
Launches New Facebook Page
Caroline County government has a launched a new Facebook page as another way to communicate with its citizens.
The Facebook page was launched Friday, July 30, and is now available for citizens to comment on various issues and also learn more about events and happenings within County government.
The new Facebook page joins Twitter as modern social mediums County government are using to better stay in touch with its constituency. Earlier this year, 35 percent of County residents participating in a web poll voted that Facebook is their favorite way of communicating. As a response to that interest, County government included Facebook in its new Customer Service policy presented to the Board of Supervisors at its July 27 meeting.
“We encourage citizens to interact with our new Facebook page and all of our mediums,” commented County Administrator Percy Ashcraft. “The dialogue is always healthy and the information shared can lead to a better understanding of County government and the community in general.”
Questions about the Facebook page can be addressed to the County’s websmaster, Cassie Ruby.
