Sheriff’s report

On April 18, 2010, Sergeant C. A. Heywood responded to a disturbance call in Ruther Glen.  After investigating, Angelo B. Walker, 51, of Ruther Glen was charged with being drunk in public.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of May 26, 2010 was set. 

On April 20, 2010, Deputy C. S. Wooldridge responded to a disturbance in Ruther Glen.  After investigating, Kip S. Hilliary, 38, of Ruther Glen was charged with being drunk in public.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of May 14, 2010 was set.

 

On April 21, 2010, Deputy W. D. Lipscomb stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Joshua W. Brady, 26, of Ruther Glen was charged with possession of marijuana.  He was released on a summons and a court date of June 9, 2010 was set.   

On April 21, 2010, Deputy W. M. Jones was notified by school officials of a student being in possession of a weapon at Caroline Middle School.  After investigating, 2 juvenile students were charged with possession of a weapon while on school grounds.  Petitions were obtained and both juveniles were released to their parents.     

On April 23, 2010, Sergeant C. A. Heywood stopped a vehicle in Ruther Glen for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Jason E. Leach, 23, of Chesterfield was charged with driving under the influence – 2nd offense.  His passenger, Charles C. Hays, 29, of Springfield, Ohio was charged with being drunk in public.  Both were released on a personal recognizance bond a court date of May 26, 2010 was set.

On April 24, 2010, Deputy C. S. Wooldridge responded to a reported larceny in Carmel Church.  After investigating, Jacques Gendron, 60, of Kirkland, Canada was charged with petit larceny.  He was ordered held under a $2500 bond and a court date of April 28, 2010 was set.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

 

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 2 drug arrests, 2 DUI arrests, 13 domestic violence arrests, 88 other criminal arrests and issued 10 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 220 civil papers, issued 129 traffic summonses, handled 5 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 12 alarm calls, and dealt with 2 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 390 calls for service and handled 1,629 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 11 calls assisting outside agencies and had 390 self-initiated calls.

Anthony Bramlett, 38, of Ruther Glen was arrested for assault.

Caleb Osborne, 24, of Ruther Glen was arrested for drinking in public.
