Sheriff’s report
On March 21, 2010, Sergeant C. A. Heywood stopped a vehicle in Dawn for a traffic infraction. After investigating, Raymond O. Mills, Jr., 49, of Dawn was charged with driving under the influence. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of March 26, 2010 was set.
On March 23, 2010, Sergeant C. A. Heywood stopped a subject in Carmel Church for a traffic infraction. After investigating, Douglas L. Nelson, 48, of Ruther Glen was charged with reckless driving and being drunk in public. He was released on his own recognizance and a court date of May 26, 2010 was set.
On March 24, 2010, Deputy F. L. Brennan encountered a vehicle in Ruther Glen. After investigating, Shereece N. Wright, 18, of Ruther Glen and a juvenile were both charged with possession of marijuana. The juvenile was released to a guardian and Wright was released on a summons. A court date of April 28, 2010 was set.
On March 25, 2010, Deputy J. O. Cecil stopped a vehicle in Ladysmith for a traffic infraction. After investigating, Steven D. Jones, 45, of Ruther Glen was charged with driving under the influence. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of March 26, 2010 was set.
On March 24, 2010 Deputy C. S. Wooldridge encountered a male subject in Woodford. After investigating, Leroy L. Gray, 44, of Fredericksburg was charged with driving on a suspended license 4th offense. He was ordered held without bond and a court date of March 26, 2010 was set.
On March 26, 2010, Deputy K. H. Eichenmiller responded to a disturbance call in Sparta. After investigating, Eric A. King, 23, of Milford was charged with destruction of property and threatening to burn an occupied residence. He was ordered held under a $1500 bond and a court date of April 6, 2010 was set.
On March 27, 2010, Deputy F. L. Brennan encountered a vehicle in Milford. After investigating, James W. Bradley, 40, of Ruther Glen was charged with possession of marijuana. He was released on a summons and a court date of April 30, 2010 was set.
On March 27, 2010, Sergeant C. A. Heywood stopped a vehicle in Ruther Glen for a traffic infraction. After investigating, Sherif S. Kassem, 43, of White Plains, MD was charged with possession of marijuana. He was released on a summons and a court date of May 26, 2010 was set.
Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up
According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 7 drug arrests, 2 DUI arrests, 4 domestic violence arrests, 99 other criminal arrests and issued 2 animal control summons or arrests during the past week. The deputies served 287 civil papers, issued 134 traffic summonses, handled 9 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 16 alarm calls, and dealt with 4 juvenile offenders. The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 406 calls for service and handled 1,725 telephone inquiries. The CCSO also logged 13 calls assisting outside agencies and had 342 self-initiated calls.
