For Immediate Release: March 21, 2010

CAROLINE CO. – A Fredericksburg woman is dead following a motor vehicle crash in Caroline County that took place early Sunday evening (March 21, 2010).  At 5:32 p.m., Virginia State Police Trooper D. E. Scott was called to the scene on Route 639, Ladysmith Road, approximately 7/10 of a mile east of Route 603, Countyline Church Road.

A 2000 Plymouth Neon was traveling eastbound on Route 639 when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

I’m Cathys step-sister, This is such a complete tragedy. Not only was Cathy a loving daughter, step-daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, but she was an incredible mother. She loved Kayla and Mason to no extent. This is the most tragic thing that could have happened to my family. Cathy “kit-kat” I love you and I will forever miss you. RIP – Love, Your sister Lisa.
