Sheriff’s report

On February 14, 2010, Deputy S. M. Jessee responded to a vehicle crash in Ruther Glen.  After investigating, Seth A. Asare, 22, of Ruther Glen was charged with being drunk in public and driving under the influence.  He was ordered held under a $1500 bond and a court date of March 19, 2010 was set. 

On February 17, 2010, Deputy R. J. Anderson encountered several students in the woods near Caroline High School.  After investigating, a male juvenile was charged with underage possession of tobacco and possession of marijuana.  Petitions were obtained and the juvenile was released to their parents.   

On February 18, 2010, Deputy J. O. Cecil responded to a domestic in Woodford.  After investigating, Joseph E. Weadon, 29, of Spotsylvania was charged with domestic assault, abduction and grand larceny.  He was ordered held without bond.  A court date was not available.   

On February 20, 2010, Sergeant C. A. Heywood stopped a vehicle in Woodford for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Derek A. Hammerle, 36, of Bowling Green was charged with drinking while driving and driving under the influence – 2nd offense.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of February 26, 2010 was set.

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 3 drug arrests, 2 DUI arrests, 11 domestic violence arrests, 95 other criminal arrests and issued 4 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 192 civil papers, issued 19 traffic summonses, handled 22 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 20 alarm calls, and dealt with 6 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 355 calls for service and handled 1,762 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 19 calls assisting outside agencies and had 355 self-initiated calls.

Charmaine Jones, 26, of Caroline was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Brock Deadwyler, 34, of Bowling Green was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Christina Lewis-Graves, 19, of Woodford was arrested for disorderly conduct.
