Sheriff’s report

On December 21, 2009, Deputy S. L. Chapman responded to a disturbance in Ruther Glen. After investigating, Jessica Lynn Lewis, 30, of Fredericksburg was charged with trespassing.  She was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of January 6, 2010 was set. 

On December 23, 2009, Deputy C. A. Heywood responded to an accident in Bowling Green.  After investigating, Charles Robert Bowes, 39, of Bowling Green, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, possession of misbranded drugs, petit larceny of fuel, and felonious child endangerment.  He was ordered held under a $2,500 bond and a court date of January 5, 2010 was set. 

On December 25, 2009, Deputy E. S. Gershowitz stopped a vehicle for a reckless driving.  After investigating, Aileen Perez, 30, of Fredericksburg was charged with driving under the influence.  She was ordered held under a $1,500 bond and a court date of January 6, 2010 was set. 

On December 26, 2009, Deputy C. A. Heywood stopped a vehicle in Ruther Glen for a traffic infraction. After investigating, Kevin James Cole, 18, of Ruther Glen, was charged with possession of marijuana.  He was released on a summons and a court date of January 6, 2010 was set. 

On December 26, 2009, Deputy C. A. Heywood responded to a disturbance in Ruther Glen. After investigating, Luther Dean Keith, 33, of Ruther Glen, was charged with drunk in public.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of February 3, 2010 was set. 

 

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

 

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 2 drug arrests, 2 DUI arrests, 4 domestic violence arrests, 61 other criminal arrests and issued 4 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 107 civil papers, issued 19 traffic summonses, handled 19 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 28 alarm calls, and dealt with 4 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 351 calls for service and handled 1,935 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 15 calls assisting outside agencies and had 105 self-initiated calls.
