Sheriff’s report

On August 23, 2009, Deputy C. M. Polliard stopped a vehicle in Woodford for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Wayne Jackson, 47, of Woodford was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of marijuana.  He was ordered held under a $2500 bond and a court date of September 2, 2009 was set.   

On August 23, 2009, Deputy P. H. Blasiol responded to a suspicious person call in Carmel Church.  After investigating, Matesha Glickman, 34, of Richmond was charged with solicitation for prostitution.  She was ordered held under a $2500 bond and a court date of September 2, 2009 was set.   

On August 23, 2009, Sergeant R. L. Hixson stopped a vehicle in Ruther Glen for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, James R. McClure, 47, of Ruther Glen was charged with driving under the influence.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of August 26, 2009 was set. 

On August 23, 2009, Deputy W. D. Lipscomb stopped a vehicle in Ruther Glen for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Kevin D. Wathen, 28, of Loveville, MD was charged with possession of marijuana.  He was released on a summons and a court date of October 28, 2009 was set.   

On August 23, 2009, Deputy B. N. Doucet responded to a call for service in Bowling Green.  After investigating, Alex C. Samuel, 27; Marcus C. Pinnock, 20, and Nathaniel L. Dyson, 21 were each charged with 3 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  Dyson was also charged with 3 counts of purchasing alcohol for a minor.  Samuel and Pinnock were each held under a $2000 bond and Dyson was held under a $6000 bond.  All were assigned court dates of August 25, 2009.

On August 25, 2009, Deputy C. S. Wooldridge responded to a reported rape in progress.  After investigating, Ruth D. Gallion, 40, of Ruther Glen was charged with making a false police report.  She was released on a personal recognizance bond and  a court date of September 2, 2009 was set.   

On August 26, 2009, Deputies G. W. Honeycutt, C. S. Overman, C. M. Polliard, J. O. Cecil, M. A. Dip and C. S. Wooldridge responded to a domestic in Ruther Glen.  After investigating, Dennis R. Miracle, 34, of Ruther Glen was charged with domestic assault and resisting arrest.  He was ordered held under a $10,000 bond and a court date of September 2, 2009 was set. 

On August 29, 2009, Deputy P. H. Blasiol stopped a vehicle in Carmel Church for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Virginia M. Winston, 67, of Ruther Glen was charged with driving under the influence – 3rd offense.  She was ordered held under a $1500 bond and a court date of September 2, 2009 was set.

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 1 drug arrests, 11 DUI arrests, 14 domestic violence arrests, 122 other criminal arrests and issued 4 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 203 civil papers, issued 331 traffic summonses, handled 8 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 25 alarm calls, and dealt with 5 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 317 calls for service and handled 1,341 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 60 calls assisting outside agencies and had 220 self-initiated calls.
