Sheriff’s report

On July 19, 2009, Deputy C. S. Wooldridge stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Lamar S. Keen, Sr., 37, of Washington, DC was charged with possession of marijuana.  He was released on a summons and a court date of September 11, 2009 was set. 

On July 19, 2009, Deputy C. A. Heywood responded to a theft report in Ruther Glen.  After investigating, Harvey J. Frasier, 51, of Ruther Glen was charged with petit larceny.  He was released on a summons and a court date of August 5, 2009 was set. 

On July 21, 2009, Deputy W. D. Lipscomb stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Karl S. Anderson, 48, of Ruther Glen was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance.  He was ordered held under a $3000 bond and a court date of September 4, 2009 was set.   

On July 22, 2009, Deputy W. D. Lipscomb stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Edward A. Lewis, III, 23, of Bowling Green was charged with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.  He was ordered held without bond and a court date of September 4, 2009 was set.   

On July 24, 2009, Deputy W. D. Lipscomb encountered a vehicle in Bowling Green.  After investigating, Jill T. Anderson, 41, of Manakin-Sabot was charged with driving under the influence, driving on a revoked operators license and possession of au unauthorized inspection sticker.  She was ordered held without bond and a court date of September 4, 2009 was set. 

On July 24, 2009, Deputy W. D. Lipscomb encountered a person at a business in Carmel Church.  After investigating, Louis A. Green, 58, of Ruther Glen was charged with possession of marijuana.  He was released on a summons and a court date of September 4, 2009 was set. 

On July 24, 2009, Deputy W. D. Lipscomb encountered a person at a business in Carmel Church.  After investigating, Kathryn M. Foulk, 44, of Ruther Glen was served with an outstanding warrant for possession of cocaine.  She was ordered held without bond and a court date of July 29, 2009 was set. 

On July 24, 2009, Investigator B. L. Fedder, following an investigation, charged 3 juvenile males in a series of break ins in the county.  All 3 were detained pending a hearing.  The break ins occurred in April of this year. 

During this week, Deputy C. A. Heywood encountered trespassers at Fall Hole.  After investigating, 3 subjects were charged with trespassing and released on a summons.  2 of the subjects were also charged with drug related offenses.  All were assigned court dates in August. 

  

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Wrap Up

 

According to Sheriff Tony Lippa, Caroline Deputies made 11 drug arrests, 2 DUI arrests, 6 domestic violence arrests, 90 other criminal arrests and issued 6 animal control summons or arrests during the past week.  The deputies served 198 civil papers, issued 120 traffic summonses, handled 2 motor vehicle crashes, responded to 40 alarm calls, and dealt with 4 juvenile offenders.  The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched 512 calls for service and handled 1,759 telephone inquiries.  The CCSO also logged 11 calls assisting outside agencies and had 183 self-initiated calls.
