Sheriff A. A. “Tony” Lippa announces the assignment of Major C. Scott Moser as Chief Deputy of the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office effective today.
Moser, a 21 year veteran of the office, has served as 3rd in command since Sheriff Lippa took office January 1, 2004.
Moser has been employed since July 25, 1988. During his tenure, Moser has served as a Jailor, Deputy, Corporal, Investigator, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain prior to his promotion to Major on January 6, 2008. Moser was named “Employee of the Year” for 2006 and is a 5-time winner of the sheriff’s office good conduct award.
Moser replaces M. W. Hall who resigned last week to concentrate on his family and his construction company.
“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Major Moser as my chief deputy. Scott knows this
community and he is a great police officer. He has a long and distinguished career in this office. I know he will continue to serve the citizens of Caroline and this administration with the same level of dedication and distinction that he is known for,” said Sheriff Lippa.
