WTVR-6 in Richmond is reporting two incidents in Caroline County today.

Friday, a Caroline County man charged with promoting or engaging in animal fighting was ordered to forfeit his dogs to the State. The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office seized a dozen dogs from Darnell Garrison’s home in Ruther Glen.

Sheriff Tony Lippa says Garrison was running an illegal dog fighting ring out of his backyard. He denied those allegations to CBS 6 Thursday. Click here to read more.

 

Also, two Richmond police officers were injured during a training exercise at a shooting range in Caroline County today. According to the Caroline County Sheriff’s Department, the officers were firing at targets and shrapnel ricocheted off of a pole, injuring each of them. Click here to read more.
