Dawn Wastewater project update meeting on Thursday
The Dawn Wastewater Project Team will host a community meeting to discuss a possible Phase II of the project on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Dawn Progressive Association.
Phase I of the project has been completed with 180 homes and businesses connected to a County operated wastewater treatment system.
The purpose of the meeting is to determine the level of community interest in extending sewer lines into the Phase II area of the project. A draft service area map will be presented at the meeting along with cost estimates to hook up to the system and other relevant details.
The possibility of a public water system for both the Phase I and Phase II areas will also be discussed.
Dawn residents are encouraged to attend the meeting on Thursday to learn more about the project and sign the paperwork needed to apply for grant funding.
Questions should be directed to the Caroline County Department of Public Utilities at 633-4390 or Reedy Church District Supervisor Maxie Rozell at 994-5559.
