Sheriff’s report

On March 16, 2009, Deputy D. W. Mundie stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Francis D. Keye, 50, of Accokeek, MD was charged with being a fugitive from Maryland, driving on a suspended license, driving under the influence – 2nd offense, and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.  He was ordered held without bond and a court date of April 18, 2009 was set.   

On March 16, 2009, Deputy S. Mullane observed suspicious activity in the Ladysmith area.  After investigating, Paul W. Hall, 29, of Ruther Glen was charged with possession of marijuana.  He was released on a summons and a court date of April 8, 2009 was set.   

On March 17, 2008, Deputy C. A. Heywood responded to a call for service in Bowling Green.  After investigating, Troy D. Christopher, 39, of Bowling Green was charged with being drunk in public.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of  April 1, 2009 was set.   

On March 17, 2009, Deputy W. M. Jones received a report from a school administrator of a student possibly in possession of a firearm at Caroline Middle School.  After investigating, a male juvenile was found to be in possession of a pellet gun.  The juvenile was charged with possession of a firearm on school grounds and brandishing a firearm.  He was ordered held at Merrimac Juvenile Detention Center.  

On March 18, 2009, Sergeant R. L. Hixson stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Hayato Plesko, 29, of Ashland was charged with driving on a revoked license and possession of marijuana.  He was ordered held without bond and a court date of April 20, 2009 was set. 

On March 19, 2009, Deputy C. A. Heywood responded to a domestic in Dawn.  After investigating, John D. Taylor, 58, of Hanover was charged being drunk in public, malicious wounding, felony child neglect, and domestic assault.  He was ordered held without bond and a court date of April 24, 2009 was set. 

On March 19, 2009, Deputy C. A. Heywood received a report at the sheriff’s office of an assault.  After investigating, Glen Clark, 49, of Port Royal was charged with domestic assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  He was ordered held without bond and a court date of March 24, 2009 was set. 

On March 19, 2009, Deputy F. L. Brennan responded to a Ruther Glen address for a civil dispute.  After investigating, Jessica L. Cooper, 21, of Ruther Glen was charged with possession of stolen property and curse and abuse.  She was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of March 25, 2009 was set.

 

On March 20, 2009, Deputy C. A. Heywood responded to a domestic in Milford.  After investigating, Donna M. Tolson, 42, of Milford was charged with assault and being drunk in public.  She was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of April 27, 2009 was set. 

On March 20, 2009, Deputy G. J. Hamilton responded to a disturbance report in Ruther Glen.  After investigating, a female juvenile was charged with underage possession of alcohol and underage possession of tobacco.  Court information was not available.     

On March 20, 2009, Deputy F. L. Brennan responded to an incident in Woodford.  After investigating, Heather L. White, 23, of Woodford was charged with domestic assault.  She was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of March 24, 2009 was set. 

On March 21, 2009, Deputy C. M. Polliard stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Melissa R. Latney, 40, of Fredericksburg was charged with driving on a suspended license and using the identity of another to avoid arrest or prosecution.  She was ordered held under a $2000 bond and a court date of March 25, 2009 was set. 

On March 21, 2009, Sergeant J. W. McCarty responded to a domestic in Ruther Glen.  After investigating, Derick E. Johnson, 42, of Ruther Glen was charged domestic assault and brandishing a firearm.  He was ordered held under a $2500 bond and a court date of March 24, 2009 was set. 

On March 21, 2009, Deputy W. D. Lipscomb stopped a vehicle in Ladysmith for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Carter A. Waller, 42, of Partlow was charged with driving under the influence – 2nd offense.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a court date of April 15, 2009 was set.   

On March 21, 2009, Deputy C. A. Heywood encountered a citizen in Ruther Glen.  After investigating, Patricia A. Francis, 50, of Ladysmith was charged with driving under the influence.  She was released on a summons and a court date of April 1, 2009 was set.   

On March 21, 2009, Deputy G. J. Hamilton stopped a vehicle in Sparta for a traffic infraction.  After investigating, Skyler C. Davis, 19, of Woodford was charged with underage driving under the influence driving on a suspended license and underage possession of alcohol.  He was ordered held under a $3500 bond and a court date of April 25, 2009 was set.
