Snip, snip, snip….budgets

This week the school system ended up cutting $600,000 at the county’s request in order to fill the $2.7 million budget shortfall.

This morning I noticed a note on the county’s Web site about county-wide newsletters. Surprise! (Actually, no surprise really.) Due to budget cuts you won’t be getting a hard copy of the county’s newsletter in your mailbox.

Instead officials will post the newsletter on the county Web site.

Here is the latest newsletter.

I cannot imagine what budget season will be like this year. Actually, I can, and it won’t be pretty.
