A whale of a tale
Finally I can use that headline. I know, it’s corny.
Anyway, the FLS wasn’t able to use these with the visitors center article, but Economic Development Director Gary Wilson did send a bunch of photos along. The whale reproduction project is taking place at the Canadian firm Research Casting International in Ontario.
They are worth a look, that bad boy is large and in charge. A while back Board of Supervisors Chairman Floyd Thomas mentioned a possible contest among county students to name the whale. Perhaps that will come to fruition and we won’t always have to call it Eobalaenoptera. (Though, that is the scientific name for all you Bill Nye’s out there.)
