No e-mail for you
I ran into County Administrator Percy Ashcraft today at the King George YMCA ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning.
He said his staff is not supposed to use e-mail today in an effort to encourage people to communicate via phone, or in person. (Also to keep human contact between people because sometimes messages via e-mail can get a little aggressive or misconstrued.)
I found a (very short) Baltimoresun.com column reflecting this sentiment. Good luck to all those who are banned by their bosses for using e-mail, or those who are trying to ween themselves off various forms of instant communication.
Also, it doesn’t look like a new YMCA will be on the way in Caroline in the near future, but more on that in an article slated for the weekend.
