Gabriel Brothers Inc. hiring for new Spotsy store

Gabriel Brothers Inc., a fashion retailer moving into a long-vacant Giant store in Spotsylvania, will open Aug. 2 and is aggressively hiring.

On July 1 and 2 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and July 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the retailer will hold hiring events at the Fredericksburg Hospitality House, 2801 Plank Road, to fill up to 150 positions.

The positions will include leadership posts as well as supervisory, customer service, cashier and stocking roles at the 3501 Plank Road location.

The 56,000-square-foot location will be the second Gabriel Brothers store in Virginia. It is one of eight openings planned for summer and fall of 2014, as reported on earlier this year.

Applicants must bring two forms of ID and prepare to be interviewed and hired at the event.

A driver’s license, Social Security card, birth certificate and/or passport are all acceptable.

James and Arthur Gabriel founded Gabriel Brothers in 1961 and opened their first store in Morgantown. The company now has 38 stores under the Gabe’s and Gabriel Brother’s brands, as well as 61 stores operating as Rugged Wearhouse, including the one in Westwood Shopping Center.
