Chef Nancy Davis this week opened a new bakery and bistro at Spotsylvania Courthouse Village.

The eatery is in a roughly 4,100-square-foot space at 7610 Heths Salient St. that had been home to the Solid Grounds coffee shop and cafe.

Davis is calling her new eatery Butternut & Blue Bistro & Bakery. For now it will be open between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. for breakfast, lunch and snacks, but Davis plans to later expand the hours. The Solid Grounds sign is still up for now.

The bakery that Davis has operated in Spotsylvania’s Five Mile Centre Park for the past couple of years is now closed to the general public. She will continue to sell her products at the Spotsylvania Farmers Market, which resumes April 12.

Robbie Lester with Vakos Real Estate brokered the Courthouse Village lease.
