kidsexpo2014Fredericksburg-area parents looking for something to do with the kids this weekend might consider heading over to the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center at 2371 Carl D. Silver Parkway.

The Fredericksburg Kids Expo will debut at the Expo Center this Saturday and Sunday.

More than 60 children-oriented vendors plan to have exhibits at the two-day event. Parents will be able to learn about summer camps, schools, sports leagues, nutrition, day care and more. Activities for the kids will include bounce houses, face painting, coloring, games, an electric train, a 3-D printer and more. There will also be vendors selling food, clothing and other products.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for adults cost $8 at the door and $7 online. Children between 4 and 12 pay $3 at the door and $2 online. Children 3 and under are free.  Senior tickets cost $7.

Fredericksburg.com’s “Shop Local Deals” program is offering two adult tickets and two kids’ tickets for $11 while supplies last.
