A proposed commercial development along Garrisonville Road in Stafford received unanimous approval Tuesday from the county’s Board of Supervisors.

The supervisors granted a 9.2-acre development being called Parkridge Commercial Center a rezoning from agricultural to urban commercial as well as conditional use permits for three drive-through facilities.

The development is at the southeast corner of Garrisonville Road and Parkway Boulevard. A total of six commercial buildings are proposed, including a pharmacy, bank and restaurant with drive-through windows.

An older single-family home currently sits on the site, and most of the land is wooded.

Fredericksburg-based Thomas J. Wack Co. is the developer. Charlie Payne of the Hirschler Fleischer law firm is representing the project.

Heather Hagerman, Ben Keddie and Joe Pfahler of Coldwell Banker Commercial Elite have been hired to find businesses to go into the center.
