Spotsylvania fabrics store closing

The Fabrics Unlimited store off State Route 3 in Spotsylvania County will close at the end of March when its lease is up.

The store is at 11934 Cherry Road, near the intersection of State Route 3 and Old Plank Road. Fabrics Unlimited also has a store in Charlottesville that will remain open.

Fabrics Unlimited first opened its Fredericksburg-area store in July 1985 near the Spotsylvania Towne Centre, said owner Beth Herndon Frame. She said it was a hard decision to close but said she no longer has the time to keep both stores open.

The local store is now holding a closing sale offering 30 percent off all in-stock fabrics excluding lining, foam, pillows and notions.
